Protecting creative rights and fostering original content on StyleSeekr

At StyleSeekr, we celebrate creativity and original work. We are committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of our community members and respecting the rights of copyright holders worldwide.

    Your Responsibility

When you post content on StyleSeekr, you are representing that:

    • •You own the copyright to the content you are posting, OR
    • •You have explicit permission from the copyright holder to post and share this content on StyleSeekr

    What You Can Post

    Original Work You Created

Photographs, designs, artwork, videos, music, and written content that you personally created and own the rights to.

Content You Have Permission to Use

Work where you have obtained written permission, a license, or transfer of rights from the original creator. This includes licensed stock photos, commissioned work, or collaborative projects where rights have been granted to you.

    Work in the Public Domain

Creative works whose copyright has expired, been forfeited, or is inapplicable. Verify the public domain status before posting.

    Things to Keep in Mind

    Content Created by Others

Photographs, designs, artwork, videos, music, or writing created by someone else requires their explicit permission before you can share it on StyleSeekr.

    Content Found Online

Images from Google, Pinterest, Instagram, or other websites are typically copyrighted. Just because content is publicly accessible doesn't mean it's free to use—always verify you have permission.

    Work for Employers or Clients

Work created as an employee or contractor may belong to your employer or client depending on your agreement. We recommend checking your contract before posting.

    Screenshots and Reposts

Taking screenshots of another person's portfolio or creative work requires their permission, even if you're sharing it as inspiration.

    A Note on Attribution

While giving credit is always a nice gesture, it doesn't replace permission. To share someone else's work on StyleSeekr, you'll need their explicit consent—even if you tag or credit them.

For example: Adding 'Photo by @photographer' is thoughtful, but you still need the photographer's permission to post their photo.

    • 2.You'll have the opportunity to remove or replace the content
    • 3.Repeated issues may require additional steps to protect our community

    Tips for Success

    When in Doubt, Ask

If you're unsure whether you have the right to post something, reach out to the creator first. Most artists appreciate being asked!

    Keep Good Records

Save emails, contracts, or messages that show you have permission to use content. It's always good to have proof handy.

    Read License Terms

If using stock photos or licensed content, take a quick look at the license terms to make sure your usage is covered.

    Collaborate Openly

For collaborative projects, have a quick conversation with all contributors about sharing the work publicly.
